HealOr is a biopharmaceutical company that engages in market and regulatory-driven development of innovative topical therapeutics for skin pathologies. The companys' lead application candidate and pipeline products demonstrate a novel scientific rationale to the treatment of skin disorders. This approach is based on the proprietary discovery of how to modulate biochemical mechanisms of action which promote skin specific processes and cellular regeneration.
By intervening directly with the skins' biochemical signalling pathways and molecular mechanisms that stimulate skin cells to migrate, proliferate, differentiate, and secrete matrix-fibers, HealOr introduces breakthrough solutions to unmet medical needs of skin care.
HealOr finalized its clinical studies with the companys' lead candidate HO/03/03 targeting chronic wounds, including impaired wound healing of diabetic foot ulcers, venous ulcers and pressure ulcers. HealOr commenced phase I/II clinical trial in diabetic foot and venous leg ulcers in three medical centers in Israel. The efficacy of the clinical study was shown to be 70% complete healing, with no adverse effects. The Truheal study, a pivotal study targeting diabetes wound healing, was initiated in 2009. Final results are expected by 2010.
HealOr also develops other topical products based on various mechanisms of action, for the treatment of various skin disorders.
Founded in 2002 by Dr. Tamar Tennenbaum, HealOr Ltd. is a privately owned company led by a professional veteran team of scientists, clinicians, business experts and BOD with proven drug development expertise. The company has established a broad patent portfolio to protect its developments.
HealOr plans to leverage its core expertise with a laser focus on patient needs, and form strategic collaborations that will further advance its innovative therapeutics. Based on clinical results, a dire need for remedies and the paucity of current offerings in the market, the company strongly believes its drug candidates will become the standard of care for millions of patients. |
